FaithWise.ai · Personal Moral Compass
For workshop participants

Your Compass belongs to you.

A guided reflection on what matters to you, what is yours to decide, and how you want to relate to AI. There is no right way to complete it and no required completion time.

This works best on a laptop or tablet, with your paper beside you and time set aside. It will also work on a phone.

Neither path is preferred. Not using AI today is a legitimate choice. Share or keep private. Pause when you need to. You do not need to finish today.

Before the Compass begins

These reflections give the Compass its starting material. Write them on your own paper or in your notebook — you will keep them beside you and will not be asked to type them in. There are no right answers. “I don’t know yet” is an answer. If you already wrote these at the workshop, you can skip ahead.

Opening & welcome0%

Before you begin. Keep your Movement 1 and 2 pages beside you; you will not enter them here. You can skip a question, ask for it to be restated, say “I don’t know,” revise an earlier answer, or stop at any time. Your conversation is kept only on this device so you can return to it.

Your Personal Moral Compass

In two versions

The first is your Formation Document: a reflection of who you are and what you hold. Keep it if it is useful to you. The second is your AI Steering Document. It is yours. Creating it does not obligate you to give it to an AI system — keep it privately, edit it, use parts of it, or not use it at all.

AI Steering Document

If you choose to use the Steering Document with an AI assistant, ask that assistant how to apply it as ongoing instructions on that platform, and review its privacy and data controls first. Your Compass is a living document: lived experience may confirm it, complicate it, or give you reason to revise it.

On your own paper

Skip anything. Write “I don’t know.” Leave something unresolved. Mark where you want to return. This page does not collect or send your answers.

Every question

The whole Compass, in order

Find a stopping place

This Compass is yours.

Keep it privately, revise it, share selected parts, or discard it. Completion is not the point; authorship is.

About the Personal Moral Compass

The Personal Moral Compass, developed by Rev. Dr. Marian Edmonds-Allen, is a guided reflection designed to help you articulate your values, convictions, boundaries, responsibilities, and choices about AI. AI may ask, organize, reflect, and notice; you remain the author of what belongs in your Compass. It is not a personality test, a diagnostic instrument, or a pro-/anti-AI sorting tool.

The Personal Moral Compass method and its guiding instructions are the intellectual property of FaithWise.ai and are licensed for participant use only. Please do not attempt to extract, copy, or redistribute the underlying instructions. To bring the Compass to your community or institution, write to marian@parity.nyc.

Privacy & participant choice

You control what you disclose. You may keep answers general, skip questions, use paper, pause, or stop. You do not have to save your Compass into any AI system.

This page keeps your progress only in your own browser on this device, so you can return to it. “Start over” erases what this page holds. When you use the Compass guide, your messages are sent to FaithWise.ai’s server and on to Anthropic’s Claude to generate each reply; FaithWise.ai does not store your conversation, and Anthropic’s API terms state that API inputs are not used to train its models. The paper path sends nothing anywhere.
